This page belongs to the Android app Aura Alarm Clock
(com.aurora.alarm) by Alarm Clock & Shift Planner by Aura (Selim Mingrone). It explains how to delete
your data — the data on your device and the little that ever reaches a server.
First things first
Aura is an alarm clock, and almost everything stays on your device: your alarms, times, sounds, wake-up tasks, your statistics and your settings. There is no user account, no sign-in, no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Data reaches one of Aura’s servers in four cases only, each one started by you: a piece of feedback (including an icon proposal), a crash report you release, the optional profile sync, and fetching replies and gifted days (when you open “Account & Profile” or after you sent feedback yourself). Each has its route below.
1. Delete everything on the device
This covers by far the largest part of your data. You do not need to ask anyone.
- Open the Android settings.
- Tap Apps → Aura Alarm Clock.
- Tap Storage → Clear data — or simply Uninstall.
Alarms, history, profile and every setting on this device are then gone. Nothing of it is mirrored anywhere.
2. Profile sync: delete the envelope on the server
Only relevant if you created a profile in the settings. Without a profile code, nothing of yours is stored there.
- Open Aura.
- Go to Settings → Profile & Sync.
- Tap Delete profile and confirm.
The encrypted envelope is removed from the server and your profile code becomes invalid. The alarms on your device are untouched — this is only about the copy on the server.
Not the same as “Disconnect profile”: disconnecting releases this one device and leaves the envelope in place so your other devices can keep using it. Only Delete profile actually removes it.
3. Request deletion of feedback, crash reports and your fetch entry
There is no button for this inside the app, because without a sign-in anyone could otherwise delete an entry. An informal message is enough.
- In Aura, open Settings → Account & Profile and note your Aura ID. Without it your entries cannot be identified.
- Send an email to support.aura.wecker@gmail.com with the subject Deletion request.
- Include your Aura ID and state what should be deleted: feedback, crash reports, your entry in the fetch count, gifted Premium days, or everything.
Deletion happens within 30 days, usually much sooner. You receive a confirmation at the same address.
Which data this covers — and how long it stays otherwise
| Type of data | Where it is | How it is deleted | Otherwise kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alarms, times, sounds, wake-up tasks, history, settings, profile picture | On your device only | Route 1 | Until you delete it |
| Encrypted alarm envelope of the profile sync | Cloudflare KV (aurora-profile-sync) |
Route 2 | 400 days after the last upload, then automatically |
| Feedback: text, category, Aura ID, app and Android version, device model, language | Cloudflare KV (aurora-feedback) |
Route 3 | 180 days, then automatically |
| Email address, device label and screenshots — only if you attached them to a piece of feedback | Cloudflare KV (aurora-feedback) |
Route 3 | 180 days, then automatically |
| Crash reports you released | Cloudflare KV (aurora-feedback) |
Route 3 | 180 days, then automatically |
| Fetch count: Aura ID, day of the first and the last fetch, number of days with a fetch | Cloudflare KV (aurora-feedback) |
Route 3 | 180 days after the last fetch, then automatically |
| Gifted Premium days (the grant) and a name we gave your identifier in the mailbox | Cloudflare KV (aurora-feedback) |
Route 3 | No automatic expiry — the grant is the proof of your days; deleted immediately on request |
| Location for the temperature display | On your device only. The rounded coordinates go to the weather service for the request (MET Norway from 1.0.8, Open-Meteo up to 1.0.7); Aura stores nothing there | Route 1, or switch the temperature display off | Until you delete it |
What is retained after a deletion request
Nothing. There is no additional retention period and no backup that outlives the deletion. Once an entry is removed, it is removed.
Aura keeps no user account that could remain — so nothing is left behind that points back to you.
